On retiring from competitive body-building Bud
and Cath decided to expand on their Scuba Diving Division and have been teaching
Scuba Diving Courses with
Bud & Cath's Scuba
Academy since 1989
Certifying divers from Beginner to Instructor,
they share an in depth knowledge of sport & technical
diving - their graduates dive and teach all over the world!
Bud and Cath are
possibly the friendliest, knowledgeable & informative Instructors that
you can ever hope to meet ,and their 'open house policy' and 'Thursday nite
Pub Nites' are legendary!
Bud and Cath are both Registered 4x4
Overland and Underwater Specialist Guides., and have expanded their activities
to include overland 4x4 adventures, weekend trails and 'drive & dive'
trips to local and
international destinations.
Recognising the need for a local affordable
4x4 Club they established
Fintastic
All Wheel Drive Club in 2007. The club has a good member base and the
training days and
affordable family weekend getaways are well attended. Fintastic All Wheel
Drive Club is affiliated to the Assoc of All Wheel Drive Clubs of Southern
Africa.
Sunset Equipment Company
offers sales and service of Scuba Diving Equipment,
4x4 Accessories, Camping gear, GPS and Mapping Products. Their service
centre also offers air and nitrox fills to 300B.
Fintastic Travel and Tours
offers Local and International Destinations, and Cath's affiliation with Thompson's
Travel and Holiday Tours ensures the "Best Deal Possible". International
Destinations include The Red Sea, Zanzibar, Lesotho, Madagascar, Mauritius,
Mozambique, Swaziland, The Maldives, and Local Tours to the top South
African Dive Sites. Overland 4x4 tours to local South African destinations
and Internationally to Mozambique, Botswana, Namibia & Zimbabwe -

 And let's not forget about Fuzzbucket
Snowy, a ka "Fuzz bucket" is Scuba Academy's resident mascot. Cath loves him
more than life itself and it radiates from his feline body in his
affectionate, almost trance-like gestures. Fuzz bucket has a really "cute"
face, an attribute which he uses to his advantage to dupe clients into
offering him Fish treats at the pub!
He has huge eyes which are almost always in a state of half-openness simply
because he’s so darned content all the time!
